GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

AIMING FOR EXCELLENCE

The primary goal of the College can be expressed in one sentence:

To equip men and women to minister the Word of God with power.
Our mission is to create a teaching environment that will maximise the impact of the Word of God upon the student, causing them to learn sound doctrine and responsible practice.

Our expectations are that our students will be deeply taught the fundamentals of the faith in a way that will transform their lives and characters, and truly prepare them to fulfil the call of God in their life.

  • The Local Church in a lay capacity, or
  • In part-time ministry, or
  • In full-time ministry
We have a special motivation to equip men and women to make a difference and to pioneer new churches both in this country and overseas. What kind of churches? Churches that emphasise the Word of God, that exercise boldness with faith, that know the believer’s authority and victory in Christ, that operates in the charismata, and demonstrates confidence in the triumph of the Kingdom of God.

To accomplish those aims, we have built out curriculum around four major learning streams.

BIBLE

To understand better and to handle more wisely the scriptures (1 Timothy 2:6 – 16; 6:3 – 5; 2Tim. 2:15)

CHARACTER

Striving toward "the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ’’, reaching towards maturity in leadership and in servanthood. (Ephesians 4:13 – 16)

MINISTRY

To enable each person to discover his or her calling in God to serve Christ and the church successfully (Ephesians 4:11 – 12; Romans 12:1 – 7; 1 Corinthians 12:4- 31; Act 1 – 8).

FAITH

Discovering the limitless power of faith and how to move mountains in the name of Jesus (Hebrews 11:6; MARK 11:22 – 24).

Each of those categories contains a number if other key things, such as concepts of the local church, relationship to the world, basics of Christian life, various major doctrines, pastoral theology, urban missions, etc.
